Is this the right thing for my company to be doing?

I work for McCormicks UK which are food production plants, Now last week i came down with something like a tummy bug i had dirorreah once but was sick a few times at my home.
While i was unwell i still went in to work. So on the friday i told my boss that i wasnt feeling good and he sent me home 2 hours early.
Now im told i cant go back unless i provide a faeces sample that can be analysed
